With over three decades of experience in spiritual guidance, yoga, meditation, and energy healing, Johnny’s path began with an intuitive knowing that he was meant to guide others. Growing up gay taught him to question inherited beliefs, opening the door to his spiritual awakening. His journey deepened through Alcoholics Anonymous and the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science, where witnessing Reverend Marie Shelton openly come out was a life-changing moment of liberation. Another pivotal influence was Gladys, whose embodiment of self-mastery inspired Johnny to step fully into his purpose.
Throughout his career, Johnny has guided countless individuals. He began as a Hatha yoga instructor and later expanded his work to include Kundalini traditions, Reiki mastery, devotional spiritual paths, and shamanic healing modalities. His service extends deeply into the community, including more than 15 years of developing programs for LGBTQ centers and supporting people in recovery. As Spiritual Advisor of HurPsyche Sanctuary, he envisions a supportive and inclusive community rooted in authenticity, awakening, and self-discovery. He lives by a simple philosophy: “Don’t judge. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” reminding seekers that their strength and purpose already exist within them.
Johnny connects directly with spirit through clear visions, intuitive guidance, and energetic transmission. In both individual sessions and group experiences, he blends spiritual insight with grounded healing practices—using drumming, rattles, the Native American flute, breathwork, and sound healing to create space for transformation. His work supports people in releasing emotional burdens, reconnecting with their inner truth, and awakening clarity and self-trust by quieting the mind and letting the heart lead.
